In the mid 1930’s Raphael Tuck & Sons published 22 of Bruce Bairnsfather’s Old Bill & Bert cartoons from the Passing Show magazine in postcard format , as part of their ‘Humorous Postcard’ series. The cartoons (six of which were just titled ‘Old Bill’) were “Reproduced by Special Arrangement with The “Passing Show” and the cards were numbered 5070 to 5091. Their retail price is not know, but they were sold to the Trade at 8/- per Gross (144 cards). All the cards from the series are shown here, in number order.
