50th Anniversary of BB’s Death—Commemorations at St Yvon

 

On Saturday, 3 October 2009 there will be a special ceremony at the Bairnsfather plaque at St Yvon, Belgium, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the death of Capt. Bruce Bairnsfather.

This event, at the site of the cottage where some of BB’s earliest ’Fragments’ were sketched, is being organised by Tonie & Valmai Holt in association with the local Belgian authorities, and will be a memorable occasion.
