The New Adventures of Old Bill

On 24 January 1921, 'The New Adventures of Old Bill', a new daily strip cartoon feature by Bruce Bairnsfather made its debut in the Daily Graphic. This was Bruce Bairnsfather's first foray into producing a daily strip, and in it Old Bill would "provide Daily Graphic readers with a daily kinema in pictures depicting in his own inimitable style happenings from day to day." Old Bill's wartime pal Bert appeared in many of the strips.

'The New Adventures of Old Bill' ran daily (except Sundays) until 15 September 1921 - a total of 202 strips. A small selection of these are reproduced below.
