The Better 'Ole in America

The American stage rights to "The Better 'Ole" were acquired by the American actor-producer Charles D Coburn, who purchased them from the British producer Charles B Cochran in 1918. Coburn was more well-known for his Shakespearian roles.

At the end of 1918 Charles Coburn arranged for a number of touring companies to take "The Better 'Ole" to major cities throughout America. Click on the links below to read more about the different productions.
